Why Worship a Guru?

Why Worship a Guru?

The spirit of the festival Diwali dwells in lighting diyas (earthen lamps), which symbolises the inner awakening or enlightenment. The spirit of the festival of colours i.e. Holi, lies in spreading harmony. The spirit of Christmas lies in sharing be it gifts or heartfelt wishes for others. The spirit of Eid lies in charity. Similarly, the spirit of the most auspicious festival for all disciples across the world i.e. Guru Purnima or Guru Puja lies in expressing the purest and reverential feelings of love and gratitude towards the Guru. Also, this festival marks the dawn of a spiritual new year where disciples embark upon with new enthusiasm, resolutions and rejuvenated spirits on the path of devotion.
The festival finds its origin in the era of the great sage Ved Vyasa. It is celebrated every year on Ashadh Punam, the day this legendary figure was born, who classified the four Vedas, wrote 18 Puranas, the Brahm Sutras and uttered Mahabharata, which was penned by Lord Ganesha Himself. Through his intense literary classification and compositions of the great epics and scriptures, he opened the portals of the esoteric world of spirituality for the inquisitives. He also, following the eternal Vedic regime, initiated his disciples into the eternal science of Brahm Gyan. In the honour of such divine personage and to worship the Perfect Master or the Sadguru of the time, who by bestowing the same eternal knowledge of Brahm Gyan ushers the disciple towards his ultimate blissful destination, this festival is celebrated with great exuberance and devotion.
Verily, worshipping has been equated with Gods and deities residing in the heavenly abode. Most of us all through our lives have seen our elders or have ourselves bowed in front of their immortal power. Why then this tradition of worshipping someone with a physical garb, living within the brackets of the mortal world surfaced in the annals of our glorious history? In other words, why do we worship a Guru?
A bird's eye view of all the Vedas, scriptures and texts of wisdom would easily provide us with the fact that the Guru is the ultimate power in both worlds. He is the Living GOD– Generator, Operator and Destroyer of the life of a disciple. He amalgamates in himself all the three roles i.e. the role of a creator, protector and exterminator for his disciples. Therefore, in our Vedic tradition we worship the Guru before anyone else.
Let's analyse all the three roles of a Guru on the basis of the scriptural, psychological and historical evidences.

THE ROLE OF A CREATOR

As per the Vedic wisdom and our sages, there are two births of a human being. The first one is through his mother's womb and the second one is through the spiritual womb of his Guru.
Our Vedas elucidate the same–
Aacharya Upanyamano Brahmcharinam
Krunute Garbhmanth

(Atrahva Veda- 11:3:5:3)
Meaning, Acharya (Guru) at the time of Upanayan Sanskaar (bestowing Brahm Gyan) bears his disciple in his spiritual womb.
Just as a new life gets initiated in the womb of a mother, similarly, the initiation of a disciple into Brahm Gyan under the patronage of a Sadguru marks his becoming a Dwij that is 'being born again'. This second birth is considered much more glorified and superior than his first birth. Reason being, the first birth culminates in the mortuary whereas the second birth culminates in eternity. Also, the second birth sets him free from the vicious cycle of transmigration and eventually leads him to reside in the ultimate bliss. Moreover, as after taking birth from the mother's womb we enter this mortal world, similarly, after being born through the spiritual womb of a Guru, we enter the inner-immortal world where we come face to face with the wonderful reign of the Supreme Being. Jesus Christ also proclaimed– “Unless a man is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
When the mother of cowherd Chandragupta confronted Acharya Chanakya, who wanted to take her son along with him to the University of Takshashila, she said– 'You can't take my son; I have given birth to him. I bore him in my womb for nine months. He is my dream.' Acharya Chanakya humbly replied– 'I have done his Upanayan Sanskaar (bestowed him with Brahm Gyan). I too have borne him in my spiritual womb. He might be a dream for you, but only I can translate that dream into reality. You have given birth to a probability, but only under my spiritual wings it will become a possibility.' History stands witness how an ordinary boy who wandered on the streets as a cowherd, under the patronage of Acharya Chanakya was transformed into the King of the Kings– Chandragupta Maurya, who unified the nation and established the kingdom of righteousness.
Hence, a Guru like a spiritual mother not just brings forth his disciple in the cosmic world of eternity, but also brings out the best in him.

THE ROLE OF A PROTECTOR

After giving birth, a mother is very protective about her child especially when he is an infant. She always stays close to her child, guards him and watches over him. Similarly, a Guru, after initiating the disciple into the realm of the spiritual world does not abandon him. Rather, he always stays close to him. A disciple, who abides by all the commandments of his Guru, always feels his presence around him. He feels an all-time inner-connection with his Guru, which eventually strengthens with time. However, a mother can protect and guard her child only in this life; but a Guru is such a protector who shields and guards his disciple even beyond life. An incident from the life of Lahiri Mahashya when he met his Guru Mahavtari Babaji for the first time, in a cave on the Dronagiri Mountain, verily stands evidence to this.
When Mahavtari Baba gently struck on Lahiri's forehead, he retrieved everything about his previous birth. He writes, “…the saint approached and struck me gently on the forehead. At his magnetic touch, a wondrous current swept through my brain, releasing the sweet seed-memories of my previous life. 'I remember!' My voice was half-choked with joyous sobs. 'You are my guru Babaji, who has belonged to me always! Scenes of the past arise vividly in my mind; here in this cave I spent many years of my last incarnation!' As ineffable recollections overwhelmed me, I tearfully embraced my master's feet. 'For more than three decades I have waited for you here– waited for you to return to me!' Babaji's voice rang with celestial love. 'You slipped away and vanished into the tumultuous waves of life beyond death. The magic wand of your karma touched you, and you were gone! Though you lost sight of me, never did I lose sight of you! I pursued you over the luminescent astral sea where the glorious angels sail. Through gloom, storm, upheaval, and light I followed you, like a mother bird guarding her young. As you lived out your human term of womb-life, and emerged a babe, my eye was ever on you. When you covered your tiny form in the lotus posture under the Nadia sands in your childhood, I was invisibly present! Patiently, month after month, year after year, I have watched over you, waiting for this perfect day. Now you are with me!’
Moreover, in the role of a protector, a Guru also shields his disciple at the psychological and emotional levels. A Guru, with his pure love and faith, gives his disciple a strong foundational support, upon which a disciple resolutely treads the path of his life while making the correct decisions. His divine love shields him from the negative effects of the feigned material love of the world.
Swami Vivekananda often quoted– '…ever since our first meeting, it was the Master (Ramakrishna Paramhansa) alone who had faith in me– no one else, not even my own mother and brothers. That faith and that love of his have bound me to him forever. The Master was the only one who knew how to love and who really loved. Worldly people only feign love to gratify their own self-interest.'
Indeed, it is the selfless love and prowess of a Perfect Master, who as a divine protector guides and shields his disciple (at all the three levels– physical, psychological and spiritual) from all impending dangers.

THE ROLE OF AN EXTERMINATOR

Lord Shiva in the Vedic texts has been referred to as the God of destruction. It is not mere destruction but 'constructive destruction'. To understand the concept of constructive destruction, in contemporary parlance, we may cite an example of personal computers. With the arrival of personal computers, the economy significantly profited without much economic upheaval. It raised the productivity and ushered in significant value for many. But at the same time, computers killed the market for typewriters. Typewriters became obsolete and organisations investing in them certainly lost out. Similarly, the market for all the small gadgets– like, MP3 players, point-and-shoot cameras, wrist watches, voice recorders and calculators got swallowed by all-in-one efficient Smartphones. For the development and growth, constructive destruction, i.e. eradication of smaller insignificant things holds great importance in the business world.
In the spiritual world as well, constructive destruction is done by the Guru in the life of his disciple. Our scriptures proclaim, 'Gururdevo Maheshwaraha'– A Guru like Lord Shiva brings in constructive destruction in the life of his disciple. For his growth and development, he too exterminates and eradicates all the obsolete, redundant and unwanted thoughts from his mind and ushers him towards a more significant and supreme goal of his life. This constructive destruction facilitates the self-development of a disciple, which eventually helps him climb the ladder to success in life.
A Guru characteristically plays the role of a Generator, Operator and Destroyer (GOD) for his disciple and leads him all the way to eternity from mortality. Hence, worshipping the Guru holds a great importance in the life of a disciple. Therefore, we being fortunate to be the disciples of the Perfect Spiritual Master of the time, H.H. Ashutosh Maharaj Ji, let us celebrate this most auspicious festival with great enthusiasm and devotion.

Spiritual Discourses– Food for Soul

Spiritual Discourses– Food for Soul

To play any musical instrument, an essential aspect is to tune it. In the absence of tuning, it is impossible to produce melodious notes from it. Likewise, this life is an instrument. And, to play soothing notes of peace and wisdom from it, it is essential to tune it. In the spiritual parlance, 'Satsangs (Spiritual discourses)' play the role of a tuner, which tune us on to the path of spirituality.
In this hi-tech world, we are either fully immersed in articulating machines (Smart phones, Computers, Tablets, PCs, etc.) or are caught up in our professional lives most of the times. In such a scenario, where we are constantly in touch with maya (materialism), it becomes difficult for us to stay connected with the Lord Almighty. And, thus it becomes vital for a disciple to devote some time in the company of saintly people. Such enlightened people are like spiritual dynamos. Their strong, positive, powerful words serve as the wonderful fitness mantras not just for the body and mind but also for the soul. In the context of spiritual discourses, one of the modest sources of inspirational and spiritual literature of India known as Atharva Veda (10/8/16) also advises: 'O sons of the nation! Man is uplifted only by the company of scholars, the wise and men of character. Satsang is the gym for spiritual exercise.'
To gain more insight into the subject and its importance, here is a narration from an Indian scripture:
Once a sage named Narad went to the Lord and asked– “O Lord, please tell me the greatness of satsang?” God did not answer the query directly and pointing towards a worm said, “Ask that worm and it will answer your question.
Obeying the commandment from the Lord, sage Narad went near the worm and asked his question– “O species of the Lord, can you tell me the importance of satsang?” He had hardly completed his question and was eager to listen to the reply, when he found that the worm died.
On getting such an unexpected response, the sage went to the Lord again and narrated the entire incident to Him. But, before he could comment any further, the Lord said to him to ask the same question to a parrot which had just taken birth in the nearby house.
The sage went to the parrot and placed his question before it as per the instruction of the Lord. Alas! This time again, in reply to his query, the parrot died! The same thing happened in the case of the calf as well to which the Lord had asked to ask the question, after the parrot had died.
After witnessing all this, sage Narad requested the Lord to answer the question Himself. At his request, the Lord replied, “Narad, do not lose patience. Just now, a prince is born to the king of the same town. Go and ask the same question to the prince and this time you will get the answer for sure.
Narad was afraid. He thought, what if the same thing happens with that little child as well. The king would not pardon him. But, it was an instruction from the Lord, and so he had to abide by it. He went to the king's palace. With a fearful heart, he asked the newborn prince the same question once again, “O little one! Can you tell me the importance of Satsang?
To his utter surprise, the small boy did not die. Instead, he smiled and said, “O Sage Narad! Your words made me free from the trap of three births in which I was forced to face the consequences of my previous deeds. And, by the grace of this satsang, I could get this precious human birth again in which I can attain liberation. Many, many thanks; I am indebted to you. I will always remain grateful to you.
Such indeed is the importance of spiritual discourses. Satsang offers the means to bring reformation in life. Those who attend satsang, they get to know the way by which one can live in the world without getting drowned in the pool of attachments. It is through satsang that one gets to know the real aim of life. He learns about the importance of human birth. The greatest of all, it is by the means of satsang only that one comes to know about the identity of a True Guru, whereupon he seeks his tutelage who makes him see God.
Satsang proves to be a great means for helping a disciple to nurture the characteristics of patience, understanding, prudence and wisdom. He is able to comprehend the fact thatwhile sitting in the ship of the Perfect Master, the jerks that he gets are not meant to drown him. Rather, they are to protect him from getting drowned in the ocean of maya. He gains the understanding that whatever challenges and troubles he has to face in his life, they will add to his growth and development only.
Also, when people assemble in spiritual discourses, they gain positive spiritual vibes, which cast an impact on every individual, apparently and otherwise. One gains new energy to tread the path of self-transformation. And, when each individual starts working upon himself, a bigger change automatically takes shape. Physicist David Bohm says in his book 'On Dialogue' that the microcosm of the group is a reflection of the macrocosm. Bohm states, “The group is the microcosm of society; so if the group– or anyone– is cured, it is the beginning of a larger cure.”
Therefore, dear disciples of the Lord! We, who are the microcosm of society and who have realised our True Self by the grace of our Perfect Master, His Holiness Ashutosh Maharaj Ji, need to come together to trigger a bigger change. These microcosms of society are only going to bring peace in the world– and lead to the making of a divine world!

Shrimad Bhagwat Katha

It is said that one who listens to discourse on Bhagwat Katha has fructified all results of past good karmas. This Katha is extra- ordinary as it can be received neither by heaven dwellers nor the powerful demons. This Katha can only be bestowed to residents on earth and hence those who attend it consider themselves as immensely fortunate.
Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan (DJJS) organized a 7 days Shrimad Bhagwat Katha program from 19th June to 25th June, 2016 at Samana, Punjab. It was attended by a huge gathering including a list of distinguished guests and eminent personalities. Beauty of this Katha lies in the fact that it is a great summation of devotion and knowledge. It is composed by Maharishi Veda Vyas in the highest state of yoga, which is Samadhi. Sadhvi Vaishnavi Bharti Ji, orator of the Katha said, “Shrimad Bhagwat Katha is a bejewelled epic which is pronounced by God Himself and which has the power to make one realize its higher goal in life.” She explained that all issues of society are entangled with each other and cannot be solved only through the usage of our intellect. There needs to be a spiritual reform to bring about transformation in the society today.
DJJS has been making many such endeavours towards this societal uplift. An ongoing program named Antarkranti- working for prisoners' reformation is one such step. As a part of Antarkranti, jail inmates are imparted with Brahma Gyan by which they connect with true way of meditation. On regular practice of meditation, an inner change in conduct and behaviour is observed among the jail inmates. They don't want revenge any more rather they want to volunteer for social causes and live a pure life henceforth.
Sadhvi Ji is the preacher disciple of Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji (founder and mentor of DJJS). She elaborated that Brahm Gyan (Divine knowledge) is the direct perception of divine light within us. The power to bestow Brahm Gyan is with a perfect master only, which Ashutosh Maharaj Ji is doing in current era. A meditating person can see this light in one's forehead at centre of eyebrows. At the time of receiving Brahm Gyan, individual in meditation experiences numerous other divine visions, like the sweet taste of nectar, the limitless music- anhad, clear primordial vibration etc. By the constant practice of Brahm Gyan, one lives a balanced, happy and peaceful life. All ifs and buts are removed. If an individual becomes peaceful, then a society can become peaceful.
There was huge appreciation amongst the audience on Sadhvi Ji's wide knowledge and eloquent speech. All guests were seen listening very attentively to the preacher and most of them sat through the entire session in spite of their busy schedule. The guests said that they came to know about all social and spiritual programs in progress and they are all very commendable. They mentioned that this dialogue based epic Shrimad Bhagwat Katha was presented in a unique style which is praise worthy. As need for such spiritual programs was highlighted in the discourse, its relevance should be understood by all age groups of society. Guests expressed their pleasant surprise when being invited to volunteer for such spiritual programs with great zeal and enthusiasm irrespective of the cast, categories and age groups.

EASY TWISTS AND TURNS FOR WORKPLACE

In this modern, corporate age, 75% of the day is spent in the offices doing sedentary work. People qho have a sedentary lifestyle are jeopardising their health and are vulnerable to serious killer diseases like diabetes, cardiac arreat, etc. In such a scenario, taking short breaks by getting up from your desk and making small movements  can prove to be a wonderful resort in sustaining serenity and physical health. Research has indicated that periodic workplace stretching can subjugate physical problems by up to 72%. Trifle exercise on a daily basis can help one relax muscles and relieve stress to quite an extent both physically and mentally. ...
According to WHO, around 60 to 85% of people in the world, from both developed as well as developing countries, lead sedentary lifestyles. Neck and shoulder pain are accompanied free when one has a job that demands sitting all through the day. This is the very reason that the U.S Department of Health an Human Services affirms that 8 in 10 Americans are most likely to experience lower back pain at some point in their lives. As per the figures released by the UK statistics Authority, in 2014, due to back problem, nearly 4.2 million working days were lost by workers aged 50-64, 1.89 million days by those between 25-34, and 3.86 million by adults in the age bracket 35-49, owing to sedentary lifestyle. As a matter of fact, the similar situation replicates almost all round the globe.
It is recommended that stretching exercises should be included in the day to day routine. As a matter of fact, they can be easily performed while on the job, without any special break. Some such desk exercises are:
1. Castle in the air:

Gently pull each elbow to the opposite side over the head. This will provide relief to the upper back and neck area and provide refreshment to the act of continuously staring at your workstation. This small punch helps you stay motivated.
2. ...
...
9. The Hanged Man Dancing

...
10. Stylish Headshot

...
These little body movements will help keep us active and fresh. To know all these movements in toto, read the complete article in July'16 edition of English Akhand Gyan Monthly Magazine.

Benefits of Meditation

Increases your capacity to bear pain by reducing its emotional impact.
A wise philosopher-thinker said, “Pain is inevitable but suffering is optional,” suggesting that in spite of the presence of physical pain, one can overcome its impact and reduce the suffering which he might go through in life. In metaphysical terms, that's called “mind over matter,” which helps transcend physical pain by mental discipline and appropriate mind de-conditioning/training, as seen with meditation. Marcus Aurelius expressed the idea of 'mind over matter' in his quote, “Remove your opinion about what gives you pain and you stand painless.”
Now that sounded 'all in the air' till scientists investigated its neural basis and proved it right. Scientific investigation into the phenomenon has been recent with some interesting observations and findings.
In earlier issue, we have dwelled on benefits of meditation in improving attention span thus conferring its cognitive benefits. Besides that, positive evidence of reduced emotional reactivity by cultivating a sense of equanimity in distressing situations and lowering of pain sensitivity also add on to the benefits of meditation, as demonstrated in different investigative studies. What lends more solid and supportive credence to it is the fact that brain imaging studies in long-term meditators have demonstrated meditation to induce changes at a physiological level in manifesting such beneficial effects.
In a research study done by scientists at Wake Forest University and published in the Journal of Neuroscience (April 2011), researchers explored the impact of meditation on pain perception. The study evaluated the effect of meditation on pain intensity and unpleasantness reported by subjects, and changes in brain activation patterns were measured by functional MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging).
Heat applied by a thermal simulator assessed the pain response. Comparative analysis reported a 40% reduction in pain intensity and a 57% reduction in unpleasantness associated with pain (measured by heat stimulus) after training with meditation. Important finding in brain imaging scans suggested reduced activity in the brain areas (somatosensory cortex) evaluating feeling of intensity of pain or emotional response to perceptive pain; scans before meditation showed activity in this region to be high. At the same time, scans demonstrated that meditation increased brain activity in the areas responsible for experiencing relief from pain (primarily anterior cingulate cortex). The more the areas activated by meditation, the more was the pain relief felt.
The beneficial effect was possibly due to the dissociation of pain awareness with attached emotional evaluation of pain”, said lead researcher Fadel Zeidan, a post-doctoral research fellow at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. “This led meditators to be aware of pain sensation, but did not let them focus on the disturbance normally associated with pain,” he further added. “Meditation was more effective in blocking pain possibly because it did not work at just one place in the brain, but reduced pain at multiple levels of processing,” said Robert C. Coghill, another lead researcher and senior associate professor of neurobiology and anatomy at the Center. The findings clinically implicated that meditation produced greater reduction in pain than even morphine or other pain-relieving drugs, which typically reduce pain ratings by about 25%. “The study demonstrates that meditation produces real effects in the brain and can provide effective to substantial reduction in chronic pain without medications,” said Zeidan.
The study findings nicely sum up what Marcus Aurelius (the philosopher-thinker) had said, “Any external pain making you distressed is more due to your own estimate of it, and you have the power to revoke it at any moment.” With such interesting and promising findings, this has an implication in managing chronic pain through meditation making it a low-cost intervention in managing chronic suffering inflicted due to it.
In another similar study by Madison (University of Manchester) neuroscientists, long-term expert meditators felt discomfort to painful stimuli as intensely as novice meditators, but the experience wasn't as unpleasant for them. Thus, meditation was shown to reduce the emotional impact of pain. Brain scans revealed that advanced expert meditators were least likely to anticipate pain induced, which made the experience more bearable. Scientists were trying to find the mechanisms behind pain reduction and found that openness to painful stimuli led to decrease in stress response (anxiety), which led to a reduced feeling of pain. The expert meditators demonstrated faster “neural habituation (repeated exposure leading to decreased response)” to pain and its anticipation than novice meditators. “Meditation trains the brain to be more present-focused and spend less time anticipating future negative events, thus reducing recurrence of depression which makes chronic pain considerably worse,” said Dr. Christopher Brown, the lead researcher at the Manchester's School of Translational Medicine.
Other mechanisms by which meditation leads to a lesser feeling of pain is by producing endorphins, which are natural pain relievers in the body. Meditation has also been shown to decrease levels of stress hormones (e.g. cortisol and adrenaline), which otherwise increase anxiety during stressful stimuli like pain. Further, meditation also leads to increase in hormones like melatonin and DHEA, which help boost the immune system and promote a sense of calmness even during pain.
Whatever may be the mechanisms involved, what is important is that there is definite, objective evidence of meditation leading to the reduction in pain perception and the reduced emotional impact of pain, thus making it easier to bear. Now that gives you enough reason to tread the meditative path. And just in case it inspires you to walk the road, Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji, the founder-head of Divya Jyoti Jagrati Santhan, and a Perfect Master of the present times, is disseminating the eternal technique of true meditation in the form of 'Brahm Gyan.' Make best use of the opportunity and reap innumerable benefits by practicing the 'Brahm Gyan' meditation technique!

Shri Ram Katha Paved the Way to Holistic Development

 DJJS

Shri Ram Katha Paved the Way to Holistic Development

Ram, as believed, is not merely the name of a person who lived during Treta Yuga and had killed the daemon king Ravana. Ram is the name of a strength which lies deep within all human beings. In today's chaotic world where all relationships are devoid of feelings, promises are vague and righteousness is a forgotten word, the divine name of Lord Rama comes to a rescue and re-establishes the bygone humane values. The question is how to get that divine name. Is mere chanting of Shri Ram’s name loudly is divine name or is it more intricate?
To enunciate the true divine name, Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan (DJJS), a socio-spiritual organization organized Shri Ram Katha from June 15 to June 19, 2016. DJJS is working tirelessly for almost 20 years now under the aegis of its founder Gurudev Ashutosh Maharaj Ji. Sadhvi Rupeshwari Bharti Ji, preacher disciple of Gurudev evoked and unleashed the power which makes one realize victory of good over evil.
Sadhvi Ji lucidly narrated the various episodes of life of Lord Ram and illustrated the relevance of HIS actions in present times. The perfect master of Treta Yuga, Lord Ram, illuminated lives of all His devotees with profound Brahm Gyan (divine knowledge).  Since time immemorial, Brahm Gyan (technique of direct perception of divine light within oneself) is passed on from a perfect master to its disciples. Rupeshwari Bharti Ji explained that during meditation, a disciple is asked to sit in meditation posture and then by grace of Guru, perceives a light at the centre point of forehead between two eyebrows. During Brahma Gyan, one realizes that all external means of attaining divinity is in vain unless one receives this true knowledge from a perfect master. In order to receive this knowledge, no external sensory organ is required and only requirement is a sincere and focused mind.
Ram Katha elucidates that disciples of Lord Ram like Lakshman, Hanuman, Bharat, Shabari, Ahilya, Vibhishan etc. attained greater altitudes in the spiritual paths once they were blessed with Brahma Gyan. Even today, millions of disciples around the world have experienced positive impact in their careers, lives and overall personalities after attaining Brahma Gyan by revered Gurudev Ashutosh Maharaj Ji, the perfect master of today.
Sadhvi Ji further explained that journey to divine name of Shri Ram is not in just attaining Brahm Gyan but the journey starts from that moment. Disciples find their joy in doing selfless service in various ongoing social projects at DJJS, be the hard core criminals of Tihar Jail or the visually and physically challenged individuals, Brahm Gyan has the ardent power to accentuate inner potential of any individual.
The seven day Ram Katha program received huge appreciations by all the guests and visitors. Sadhvi ji's flawless oratory and in depth knowledge on varied subjects was highly praised by the guests. Audience was doubly benefitted as not only they got a discourse on one of great epics Ramayan but also on how to implant those great values taught by Lord Ram in their lives through Brahm Gyan. By incessant practice of this true knowledge and by being united, goal of World peace is very much achievable.

Shrimad Bhagwat Katha Enunciated the Divinity of Lord

Shrimad bhagwat katha

Religion is directly seeing, directly experiencing, directly perceiving, and directly realizing the truth within the Self.
“If there is one universal truth in all religions, I place it here- in realizing the God. Ideals and methods may differ, but God realization is the central point. There may be a thousand different radii, but they all converge to the one centre, and that is the realization of God.” - Swami Vivekandanda
Living without knowing its purpose and without meeting the creator of it is like living directionless, where the goal is not set and destiny is not at all pleasing, and hence, life can’t be at peace.
In order to reveal the highest truth of spirituality and to unite people at one convergence point of realizing God, Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan (DJJS)- a non-government, non-profit and a leading spiritual organization, head and founded by His Holiness Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji, organized a seven days program of Shrimad Bhagwat Katha, from 11th-17th May, 2016 at Ranchi, Jharkhand.
The program commenced with extending heartiest welcome to all guests, preachers, volunteers and audience. The humble and sincere prayer at the lotus feet of Lord Krishna laid the foundation of divinity. Series of devotional bhajans during the spiritual discourse added fuel to spiritual fire and created the huge positive impact by making people realize its role which cannot be replaced by any worldly or materialistic happiness.
The Spiritual discourser of the program- Sadhvi Vaishnavi Bharti Ji, daughter disciple of Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji, very profoundly claimed the divine magic that happens when one realizes self after attaining Brahm Gyan. Sadhvi Ji profoundly stated that experience of being a Brahm gyani is exceptional and nothing can surpass that feeling. She explained through the divine acts of Mahabharata, that- God has His own peculiar ways of making things work. There is a purpose behind everything that happens in life, a purpose much beyond the perceptions of human heart and mind.
Audience was overwhelmed by knowing the power of spirituality. The program successfully served its supreme purpose by actually making people realize- (as also mentioned in Bhagwat Katha)-
“This body is not yours and neither are you of the body. But the soul is permanent- So who are you?”-
Know thyself and all questions will be answered. So come and seek refuge in the feet of a perfect master who will help you in solving this riddle and give you eternal happiness and peace.
